We probably live in one of the greatest countries in the world. In the United States, we have a lot of conveniences or luxuries other parts of the world don’t have. We have our houses, cars, TVs, radios, and many more things, but also the basics of life… food, water and clothing. Then how about our freedoms, to worship, to travel, to speak, to bear arms to name a few. I think Americans have taken these for granted for most of our lives. After all, these things have always been there.
Then comes a microscopic bug (Covid 19) that changes everything. The Coronavirus has taken away things we always thought would be there. We’ve been quarantined in our house. We are unable to find needed products at the stores. We have been told to stay home and to stay at least six feet away from everyone that we do not live with. The government has closed businesses, restaurants and churches. We’ve taken these things for granted for such a long time and we’d never thought these freedoms would ever be taken away from us. It is now that we realize the value of each and every one of them.
I want to talk about one of the items we have taken for granted for a long time. That is to be able to go to Church and worship God. I think most of us would never have believed our Churches would ever be closed. After all, The Constitution guarantees the freedom of religion. We have taken going to church for granted. We now see how easily our government can take our rights away. Our government leaders have been eroding our Constitutional rights for some time. Such as the right to bear arms, the right to life (Abortion), the right to worship God. California is trying to pass a law that bans the Bible as a hate book.
My friends, It’s time to wake up to what is happening in Washington and our state governments. We need to stop the erosion of our rights and freedoms. It is up to us to put the right people in elected office that believes in God’s laws and support The Constitution and not socialism. If we don’t do this… The things we take for granted now will be gone forever.
Finally, Have you taken God for Granted? You might be thinking that there is always time to get right with God. After all, one of the thieves on the cross went to Heaven with our Lord. I used to think that way myself. There will be time. A few years ago, I was so sick in the hospital that I could not think or even pray. If I had died that day, I would have spent eternity in Hell. So my question to you is… Are you ready to die? One thing for certain is we all will die. We just don’t know the when and where part of it.
Today you can take the worry out about dying. You can have the assurance of going to Heaven. God wants you as you are… You don’t need to change anything. In John 3:7 Jesus said “Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.” This is easy and free. John 3:16 says “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” God loves us so much He sent his Son Jesus to us, so we can be born again or saved. In 1 John 1:9 we are told how to be saved, “ If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” My Friend the end of time is near and there’s no better opportunity to accept Jesus Christ as your Savior than now. Before it’s too late… take a moment and ask (Pray) for Him to come into your heart. May God Bless you.
