Time…

Magnificent Promises

This week I would like to talk about time.  Time is probably the most precious possession we have.  Once we spend a minute we can never get that minute back again.  Each of us were given a set number of days or years to live and spend.  Job 14:5, Says “Since his days are determined, The number of his months is with You; And You have set his limits so that he cannot pass.”  Our days are determined.  There will come a day that we will run out of time and this earthly body will die.

We have the choice on how to use or spend our time.  I often hear the phrases  “live life to the fullest” or “you only live once.”  We are told by the world, to do what makes us happy and to enjoy and live life to the fullest.  But here’s the problem… We really don’t know what makes us truly happy.

As a child, I was raised in the church and heard the teachings of God.  In this stage of my life, I knew everything and I thought God and the church couldn’t make me happy so I searched the world.   I had heard enough to know and fear Hell but had the attitude that I will always have time to make it right with God before I died.

The Devil deceived me, convincing me that the things of the world would make me happy and to put off God until I had experience and enjoyed them.  My friend, the things of the world will not give you permanent happiness.  Things like money, fame, sex, houses, cars and anything else this world has to offer will NOT bring permanent happiness.  Some will turn to alcohol and or drugs to give them a temporary sense of happiness.

Well, Satan’s plans sounded pretty good to me… which was to have fun now, then right before you die, repent and be saved.  I worried about the rapture when Jesus comes back for his church.  But Satan had a plan for that.   If I don’t take the mark of the beast, I could be saved then.  Wow, I could have it all.

Satan is the great deceiver and liar.  When I was in the Hospital ICU with a major health issue, I tried to pray but was unable to because of the pain and medicine.  Well maybe mine and Satan’s plan had a a fault in in it.  If I couldn’t pray then how was I to save myself before I die. There may come a time in your life you will not be able to pray.

But I still had the reassurance that if the rapture happens, I could still be saved.  In 2 Thessalonians 2:9-12 tells us this, “The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders,  and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved.  And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie, that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.”  Wow, these verses tells us that If we have been exposed to God’s truth and have had the opportunity to repent and be saved, God will put a strong DELUSION upon us and we will believe Satan’s lies.

After the Rapture, if you had the chance to accept God’s grace and be saved, God will allow a delusion that you will not be able to believe and be saved.  Which brings me to this… Are you waiting for the last minute to be saved?   Following Satan’s plan to enjoy life now and be saved later.   Both God and Satan has a plan for your life?  Who’s plan are you following?

My Friend God has a true plan for your life. His plan for you will give you true and lasting peace and happiness.  It will also give you everlasting life in Heaven with Him.  Maybe like myself you have known God sometime in your life and have backslid and lost your relationship with Him.  Well it’s time to get things in order and get right with the Lord.

It’s time to Stop following the world and Satan’s plans.  There is no better time than right now to give all your cares and worries of this world to God.

Please… if you don’t know Christ or have fallen away please pray… Tell God you believe His Son Jesus paid for your sins and rose again. Tell God you are sorry and want to start Living for Him. He will forgive your sins and mistakes and give you Everlasting Life with Him… and place His Spirit deep within your heart. In 1 John 1:9 says, “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”
