I hope everyone has had a great week in the Lord. This week I would like to talk about trust. Since Covid started a year and a half ago, we have been told to trust science. Our government is telling us that science has all the answers.
Last year when we first learn about Covid 19, The science told us that wearing a mask would not help, but a few weeks later the science told us that we should be wearing a mask to prevent the disease from spreading. This year we were told by science if we were vaccinated we did not need to wear a mask or social distance because we were protected against Covid. Now science is telling us, if you’re vaccinated you need to wear a mask and social distancing when inside public areas. Also science is telling us we need a booster shot to keep the vaccine effective. Boy… this sure is not an exact science… it seems to be changing all the time.
We are told by our goverment that science has all the answers to all of our life’s needs. All we have to do is to “Follow the Science.” Our government wants you to be completely dependent on them. They want you to “Follow the Science” and do what “The Science” tells you to do. Our government wants to tell us what to do, how to do it, and when to do it. They want the control and we should not question our government because it is based on “The Science.” Wake up my friends, This is how socialism get started!
Sorry I got a little off track, Let’s get back on the subject of trust. So the question we have to ask ourselves is this, “Who are you putting your trust in?” “Science” or God? The Bible tells us in proverbs 3:5-6, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding;” also in Psalms 118:8 tells us, “It is better to trust in the Lord, Than to put confidence in man.”
Please don’t take me wrong about the Covid vaccine or mask… I believe that God gives us the resources we need to help ourselves. God uses our science to help us in this life. Who knows, It may be a miracle from God that we have this vaccine in record time. But It is your personal choice whether to wear a mask or be vaccinated or not. It’s NOT our Government or “Science” choice.
Rest assured that the science we are told to follow will change and change again. So where are you putting your trust? God or “Science?” Hebrews 13:8 says, “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.” God hasn’t or will He NEVER change!
In closing my friend, Who are you trusting? God or Science? Science may help you in this life but can’t stop you from dying. If you follow only Science it becomes your God and will determine where you will spend your eternity.
It’s time to put that science in the proper place and trust God. John 5:24 says, “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life.” The plan is simple. Hear & Believe. Notice it didn’t say May NOT come to judgement… But says “Shall Not” come to judgement. No doubt about it.
My question to you… do you know where you are going to spend eternity? Maybe you have never believed and trusted in God. Or maybe you have believed in God, but science has started to replace your beliefs in God and put some doubt in your life. If this sounds like you, it’s time to put things in order. There is no better time than now.
Please… if you don’t know Christ or have fallen away please pray… Tell God you believe His Son Jesus paid for your sins and rose again. Tell God you are sorry and want to start Living for Him. He will forgive your sins and mistakes and give you Everlasting Life with Him… and place His Spirit deep within your heart. In 1 John 1:9 says, “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”
