Happy New Year – 2022

Magnificent Promises

In just a very few days will be welcoming in the new year 2022.  I would like to pause for a moment to look back and reflect on this year.

This year was surely a year to remember. In January 2021, we find ourselves with a newly elected President and a very divided country. Covid deaths and hospitalizations have declined, with a covid vaccine on the horizon.  Our country has slowly opened for business again. Unemployment still high but reclining.  Overall, our country seems to be heading back to a somewhat normal state.

Later in the year, we heard about a new Covid variant, D that was more contagious and deadly.  This started to shut down some cities and states and there was a renewal of mandates like mask wearing.  Our President withdraws our troops from Afghanistan.  Mass chaos and 13 allied & U.S. soldiers were killed.   The continued defunding of the police resulting in historic highs of murder and crime, especially in the big cities.  Our President stopped oil flow in our country making us depended on the foreign oil supply.  He also opened the borders.  Inflation is at the highest level in 25 years.  Again, a new Covad variant, Omicron is rapidly spreading across our country. Let’s not forget about the tornados the ravaged 6 states and the loss of 93 lives.  China is ready to attack Taiwan, Russia is building up forces & ready to attack Ukraine.

I could go on and on with all that happened this year.  I guess as Christians, we know these things must come to pass.  Mathew 24:6-8 Jesus told us, “And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of sorrows.”

According to the word of God, this is just the start and things are going to get worst.  Take a moment and think about what will happen when the church is removed (Rapture) from the earth. When Satan will have control of the world during tribulation.  Things will be really bad.  Today’s troubles will seem like a walk in the park.

There is some good news. God wants you to have a great year in 2022. He promises us help and guidance. If you have excepted and believe in God as your Savior… ALL things will work out for good! Romans 8:28 tells us “And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.” He didn’t say some things but ALL things.

The second part of the verse says to those who love God. So, here’s my question to you. Do you love God? Do you have fellowship with God?

If Not, Now is the time to find your fellowship with God! All you need to do is ask the Lord to come into your life. Please… if you don’t know Christ or have fallen away, please pray… Tell God you believe His Son Jesus paid for your sins and rose again. Tell God you are sorry and want to start Living for Him. He will forgive your sins and mistakes and give you Everlasting Life with Him… and place His Spirit deep within your heart. In 1 John 1:9 says, “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”

I pray that God’s Love will fill your New Year! Remember, there’s no need to worry about the future when God has control of your life!
