As this year is Christmas Season whines down, have you really thought about taking time to think about what it means to you? We are so busy with all that’s going on… The shopping, Christmas plays, Caroling, cooking, traveling, seeing Santa, decorating, Parties, just to mention a few. Maybe you are worried about money and buying presents or could it be your mind is on a soldier serving overseas or a loved one that’s passed away. Satan uses many distractions to keep us from thinking about the real meaning of Christmas.
On this Christmas Day, let us pause and think about the greatest gift of all. God gave his only son to us, so that we may have everlasting life. In John 3:16 the Bible tells us, “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.”
Think about it, God came as a Human. Jesus left Paradise (Heaven) to come to earth. He wasn’t born in a palace or as royalty. You could say in today’s words, He was born as an underprivileged baby. Jesus had many of the same challenges as we do today. He was tempted by Satan and offered everything this world has to give. Remember He was God in a human body! He needed food, water, he felt pain and even wept. Because Jesus walked on this earth, He knows all of our challenges we face today. The Greatest thing is… He there to help us overcome these challenges. Notice I said overcome and not to remove the challenges.
When we accept Jesus Christ has savoir, God comes into your heart, and you have God inside of you. You have been adopted to a Heavenly family and now are a brother or sister in Christ.
Here’s my question to you… Have you accepted the Free gift from God? How is your relationship with God? Maybe you don’t have a relationship or have fallen away from God? Please don’t wait until it’s too late. There’s no better time than right this minute, to get or renew a relationship with God.
Again Please… if you don’t know Christ or have fallen away, please pray… Tell God you believe His Son Jesus paid for your sins and rose again. Tell God you are sorry and want to start Living for Him. He will forgive your sins and mistakes and give you Everlasting Life with Him… and place His Spirit deep within your heart. In 1 John 1:9 says, “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”
Today is Christmas, Will you take a moment and thank God for the Best Christmas Present ever! This present is free… you only have to ask for it.
