Do you have a Heart Condition?

If something went wrong with your heart, would you know it? The CDC tells us about 610,000 people die of heart disease in the United States every year–that’s 1 in every 4 deaths. And every year about 735,000 Americans have a heart attack! if you think you might have a heart condition, Please see your Doctor to discuss signs and symptoms.

Today I want to look at your Spiritual Heart. Do you have a Spiritual Heart Condition? Spiritual heart, just like your physical Heart, often shows no symptoms. Let’s take a look at the symptoms of a spiritual heart condition.

First… Let’s look at Luke 12:34, “For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” What are you working for? Are you working for self or God? If you are building up treasures on earth and not in Heaven… this could be a sign of a heart condition.

Second… Where is your heart? What are your thoughts? What do you talk about? In Matthew 15:19 says, “But the things that proceed out of the mouth come from the heart, and those defile the man. For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, slanders.” Listen to yourself sometime when you are speaking to your friends. If Christ was standing there would you speak differently? If so you may have a heart condition.

Third… If you find it hard to pray, to tithe, to give your time, or to go to church… You may have a heart condition. In Matthew 15:8 Jesus said, “This people honors Me with their lips, But their heart is far away from Me.” Are you giving the Lord lip service… Just going through the motion to look religious. Your heart is really not in it. Then you have a heart condition.

Final Point… In Luke 21:34-36 we find a warning,  “Be on guard, so that your hearts will not be weighted down with dissipation and drunkenness and the worries of life, and that day will not come on you suddenly like a trap; for it will come upon all those who dwell on the face of all the earth. But keep on the alert at all times, praying that you may have strength to escape all these things that are about to take place, and to stand before the Son of Man.”

Do you have a Spiritual Heart Condition? Do you need to be seen by the Doctor? Here’s the good news… The Doctor is in, and you don’t have to have an appointment. This is the greatest physician… named Jesus. We all have a direct line to Him. All we need to do is pray! If you find yourself needing the Doctor for your heart condition… Why not right now take a few minutes and ask Jesus to fix your heart condition. May God Bless!
