The End is Near!!!

Magnificent Promises

As I was listening to the nightly News I started thinking about how bad things are in this world. We see pure evil and hatred almost everywhere. Almost everyday we see shootings, sexual immorality, protests and riots. We are now seeing people not taking responsibility for their actions and have complete loss of respect for authority. We are living in a “SELF” world. That is, living only for myself and not caring about others.

Yes things are really bad. I have to wonder how long this can last. When will God say that’s enough and send Jesus to get his people. When Jesus comes back for his believers, we call it the Rapture, will signal the end of this era on earth. Then tribulation era now starts for the next 7 years. There’s a lot going to take place. Things are going to go from bad to a lot worst! Think about this… First of all, the Bible believing churches will be gone. Then the Bible tells us God will hold back or limit the Holy Spirit during this time on earth. Evil will have nothing to slow or hold it back.  Making today seem like a walk in the park.

The earth eventually will be destroyed. Doesn’t sound like much fun to me. There is some good news in all of this… all we need to do is look at what God has done in the past. Remember the scriptures about the great flood and Noah. (Genesis Chapters 6–9) The people of earth turned away from God and were committing abominations (Sin) against man and God. God finally had enough… He destroyed the world by a great flood. He allowed the ones who knew God, that is Noah and his family to survive the destruction.

We find another example of God destroying a city because of their sins. In Genesis Chapter 18 and 19 we find the story of Sodom and Gomorrah. Again God saved His followers, Lot and family, by having them fleeing from the city before it was destroyed. All through the  Bible we find many examples how God punishes the sinful and disbelievers and protects His people, the believers.

That brings me to this.  Our world is so sinful and evil at this present time that at any time Jesus could come back for His people.  So the question… Where do you stand?  Are you going to be like the people in Noah’s time and miss the boat?  Are you so wrapped up in self pleasures you won’t leave the city that is going to be destroyed… Like those in Sodom and Gomorrah.

The End of time is near!   We are making our choices now that will determine where we will spend eternity.  We need to answer this question:  Do you know where you are going to spend eternity?   So please Don’t put this off!  We are standing on the edge of eternity, as none of us are promised another day.  There is no better time than the present to accept the gift of salvation from God and know for sure where you spending eternity.

Please… if you don’t know Christ or have fallen away please pray… Tell God you believe His Son Jesus paid for your sins and rose again. Tell God you are sorry and want to start Living for Him. He will forgive your sins and mistakes and give you Everlasting Life with Him… and place His Spirit deep within your heart. In 1 John 1:9 says, “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”
