I would like to talk about being Quarantined. There’s been a lot of talk about the quarantine with covid-19 virus. We were on lockdown for about a month. The reaction to this lockdown or quarantine is mixed. I don’t think any of us really enjoyed it. Now as we lift the restrictions of this quarantine, people are carelessly disregarding precautions and doing what they want.
But today I want to talk about another kind of quarantine that’s coming very soon. Each and every one of us will be facing this new quarantine if we are not prepared. This quarantine will be much worse than we have experienced with covid-19. The quarantine I’m talking about is a separation from God. This is a never ending quarantine! The place that we will be quarantined or separated from God is called Hell. Yes my friend, this will be a final lockdown with absolutely no escape.
The White Throne Judgement is the final judgement. This is where the dead, small and great, stand before God and give an account for our life here on Earth. The books will be opened and every good and every bad deed will be reviewed. Our God in all his fairness will judge the dead. We find this in Revelations 20:12 “And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.”
Also in Revelations 20:14 tells us the outcome of this judgement. “And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.” They will be quarantined at a place we refer to as Hell (the Lake of Fire). There’s a lot of things said and written about Hell and what it is. In Revelations 20:10 we find this “And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.” Think about that. A lake of fire and brimstone where its occupants will be tortured and tormented for eternity. If you ever have had a burn, I think it’s about the worst pain that I’ve ever experienced. In Hell that pain is all over your body and it’s forever. It will never end and there’s no escape. Please don’t be misled, Satan and his workers will tell you it’s not a bad place or there is no Hell.
Please be aware my friend, all of what happens for eternity is based on what you do now. You are making choices. You’re choosing today to follow Satan or God. There is no in between. Matthew 6:22 Says “No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other.” There are only two choices to make… life (God) or death (Satan), and it’s for eternity.
Do not be deceived by thinking just going to church or doing good things will get you into heaven for eternity. It comes down to this, It’s not who you are or what you have done, But who you know. You have to know someone there to get in. You need a personal relationship with that person. That Person is Jesus Christ, the One who died for your sins and is also the one that will forgive you of your sins. The Bible says we have all sinned and come short of that goal. The only perfect man was Jesus Christ.
Here’s my question for you today. What choices are you making? Do you have a personal relationship with God? If you’re not your living for Satan. Time is very very short. Any moment Jesus could come back for His church. Are you ready for His return? I think about all the people that have died from Covid 19. Do you think any of over a half a million people planned to die from this virus? Death comes in many ways and is unplanned in most. Have you planned your death?
Are you ready to die? At any time we can depart this Earth forever. When that happens the decisions you made in life are final. If you are not sure where you will spend eternity, or you’re not ready for Christ to come back… Please take a few moments right now and pray. There’s no better time than the present! Ask Jesus to forgive you of your sins and come into your life. 1 John 1:9 says, “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” Asking God to be in Your life is only a prayer away. It’s free, It’s easy! Just ask God to forgive you and to come into your life.
Romans 14:-10-12 says “For we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ. For it is written: “As I live, says the Lord, Every knee shall bow to Me, And every tongue shall confess to God.” So then each of us shall give account of himself to God.”
It’s your decision… remember when Judgment Day comes, when every knee bends before God….. then it’s too late to make that decision or change your mind.
