Yesterday may have been one of the most important days in our life. We voted for a President. No matter what the outcome, we must remember that God is still in control. Everything is going to God’s plan.
All through the Bible we see God uses who ever is in power or a leader. It doesn’t matter if they are a Godly person or evil person. God uses them for his purpose. In Psalms 22:28 tells us “For the kingdom is the Lord’s, And He rules over the nations.” Everything is still under His control and God is ruling over all nations.
Whether your candidate won or lost, God commands us to support our leaders. In Romans 13:1-2 says, “Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God. Therefore whoever resists the authority resists the ordinance of God, and those who resist will bring judgment on themselves.” We are to support our governing authorities! God has placed them in office. This doesn’t mean we can’t disagree with them or their policies. We can never put man’s laws above God’s Laws!
Yes God is in control of this world. This brings me to this question… Is God in control of your life? God created us in His own image and we have a choice to let God have control of your life or not. I can personally say this, every time I try to take control of my life everything goes wrong.
My Friend, if it seems like everything in your life is going bad or not working out… You need to give it to the Lord. In 1 Peter 5:6-7 tells us “Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.” Two steps here, First Humble yourself and second give Him your cares. To get God’s help you need to be into a relationship with Him.
How is your relationship with God? Is it good? Or maybe you have lost fellowship with Him or maybe never known a fellowship with God.
Time is short! We all are standing at the door to eternity. There is no better time than the present to renew your faith. Just take a moment now and dedicate yourself to Christ Our Savior.
Now is the time to find your fellowship with God! All you need to do is ask the Lord to come into your life. Please… if you don’t know Christ or have fallen away please pray… Tell God you believe His Son Jesus paid for your sins and rose again. Tell God you are sorry and want to start Living for Him. He will forgive your sins and mistakes and give you Everlasting Life with Him… and place His Spirit deep within your heart. In 1 John 1:9 says, “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”
