Supreme Court

Magnificent Promises

In the news this Week, the Supreme Court is looking at the abortion laws from Texas.  The Texas law basically bands abortions after 6 weeks of pregnancy.  Which is after the baby’s hearts starts beating.  Since most women don’t know they’re pregnant until after that, this law pretty much stops most abortions.

The Supreme Court is divided on where each Judge stands.  The vote and the decision wether the Texas law is upheld or overturned will be very close.  We need to pray the God’s will be done.

What does the Bible say about abortion?

The Bible is far from silent on the topic of the sanctity of human life, especially preborn life in the womb. This resource provides just a few of the many Scripture verses that speak to the value of preborn life created in God’s image from the moment of fertilization.

  • God has created and formed us in the womb.

Isaiah 44:24 – 24 – Thus says the Lord, your Redeemer, and the one who formed you from the womb, “I, the Lord, am the maker of all things, Stretching out the heavens by Myself And spreading out the earth all alone…

Jeremiah 1:5 – 5 – “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you. And before you were born I consecrated you; I have appointed you a prophet to the nations.”

  • Is it life or just tissue?

When Elizabeth, Mother of John the Baptist, heard Mary’s greeting, the baby leaped in her womb. The Baby heard and responded in the womb. Can a piece of tissue do that? Luke 1:41 – 41 – When Elizabeth heard Mary’s greeting, the baby leaped in her womb; and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit.

  • It’s my Body. I have the right to do with it what I want.

1 Corinthians 6:19-20 – Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and that you are not your own?  For you have been bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body.

  • Does God Forgive Those Who Have Had Abortions?

Ephesians 1:7 – In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of His grace.

1 John 1:9 – If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Jesus can and will forgive even the most terrible sins.  Not matter what you have done in your life, it can be forgiven.  Yes, you can have forgiveness and peace in your life.  Are you at peace with God?  Just ask and God will grant it!

If you never had a relationship with God, or maybe you have lost fellowship with Him. There’s no better time than the present to renew your relationship with God.  Please just take a moment now, dedicate yourself to Christ Our Savior.

All you need to do is ask the Lord to come into your life. Please… if you don’t know Christ or have fallen away, please pray… Tell God you believe His Son Jesus paid for your sins and rose again. Tell God you are sorry and want to start Living for Him. He will forgive your sins and mistakes and give you Everlasting Life with Him… and place His Spirit deep within your heart. In 1 John 1:9 says, “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”

Please pray with me for the Supreme Court that God’s that will be done.

I pray that God will truly Help and Bless you. If you would like for me to pray with you, please email me at Bob.L@magnificentPromises.com.
