In less than a month we will be electing our representatives in the U.S. government. This could be one of the most important votes in history for this country. With early voting started, I would like to look at each party and what their agenda is. Please vote smart… vote for what they stand for and believe in.
Both Republican and Democratic parties are totally on different sides of the fence. As a Christian, we need to look at each of the party’s platforms and vote accordingly. That is, what candidate will help the cause of Christianity and the Biblical principles found in God’s word. Remember this is not a popularity contest.
Below is a chart showing both party’s views on these issues. Neither party is any way near perfect.
As Christians we will one day stand before God and be held accountable for the things we have done here on earth. This election, based on the party’s platforms, comes down to this. One of the party’s platforms is based on supporting evil and the other on some of the basic bible principles. We are essentially voting for Good (God) or evil (Satan). Knowing this, remember you are accountable for how you vote.
I also want you to be aware that if you don’t vote you are still accountable to God. I even heard people say that they will write in a vote or leave some blanks on the election ballot. I don’t want to stand in front of God and explain why I didn’t vote. It’s time for us Christians to stand up for God’s principles and be counted. Voting is not only a Patriotic duty, but it’s also expected by God.
This Country is very divided right now. Even our politicians are trying to destroy each other and their parties. How can there be so much hatred between these two parties? The only way that America will fall is to divide its people. Hatred is one way to divide. You’ve heard the saying divide and conquer. Even Jesus said in Matthew 12:25 “Any kingdom divided against itself is laid waste; and any city or house divided against itself will not stand.”
The United States of America is in trouble! Christians is time to stand up and make your voice heard. Earlier I said, we are essentially voting for Good (God) or evil (Satan). Who are you going to vote for? Please don’t throw away your vote and the opportunity to speak up for God. In Matthew 10:32-33 Jesus tells us “Therefore whoever confesses Me before men, him I will also confess before My Father who is in heaven. But whoever denies Me before men, him I will also deny before My Father who is in heaven.”
Please my friend, Pray and Meditate on your vote. Ask God who to vote for in November. But remember this, “For we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ. “For it is written: As I live, says the Lord, Every knee shall bow to Me, And every tongue shall confess to God. So then each of us shall give account of himself to God.” (Romans 14:11-12) We are accountable for what we do or not do. It’s your decision… Please Vote!
Want to know what God’s will for your vote? It starts with a relationship with Jesus. So, how is your relationship with Him? Maybe you never had a relationship with God, or maybe you have lost your fellowship with Him. There’s no better time than the present to get a relationship with God or to renew your relationship with Him.
Please just take a moment now, dedicate yourself to Christ Our Savior. All you need to do is ask the Lord to come into your life. Please… if you don’t know Christ or have fallen away, please pray… Tell God you believe His Son Jesus paid for your sins and rose again. Tell God you are sorry and want to start Living for Him. He will forgive your sins and mistakes and give you Everlasting Life with Him… and place His Spirit deep within your heart. In 1 John 1:9 says, “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”
