Duct Tape… The Fix…

“Duct Tape… The Fix” is a short story written by me a couple of years ago. This story is about how you can fix almost everything with duct tape. I hope you enjoy it.

“Duct Tape… The Fix…”

Early one Monday morning two young men came into a small restaurant. After they were seated a discussion started about how to fix things. Eventually the subject of using duct tape came up.

The first young man explained, “I fixed a door handle on a closet. The duct tape held it in place and kept the door closed.”

The second young man answered, “I fixed my back porch light by taping together the globe with duct tape.”

Again, the first young man replied, I fixed a water leak in the basement by wrapping duct tape around the drain pipe.”

Then the second young man not to be out done replies, “Well that’s nothing… I made a window for my shed that opens and closes out of duct tape”!

Still trying to outdo each other the first young man pointing out the window at his truck and said, “yeah, look at the back of my truck. The bumper on my truck is held on with duct tape.”

This conversation was going back and forth and back and forth to see who could use duct tape more and better ways.

An older gentleman sitting at the next table had overheard this conversation going back and forth. As he was leaving, he stopped at their table and the older and wiser gentlemen said “excuse me, I’ve overheard your conversation on duct tape… But there’s something that fixes things better than duct tape… in fact it can fix everything.”

They both looked at each other puzzled and replied, “What could be better than duct tape?”

The older gentleman replied, “3 Nails, yelp 3 nails fixes everything.”

The young men looked at each other still very puzzled and as the elderly gentleman was starting to walk away, they turned to him and said, “What do you mean? 3 Nails can’t fix everything! How can 3 nails fix everything?

The elderly gentleman turned back to face them and smiled. “3 nails pounded into a cross over 2000 years ago fixed everything!” he said as he walked away.

Our Savior Jesus Christ was nailed to the cross and died for our sins. Christ’s death and resurrection has fixed everything with our relationship with God. My friend, if you don’t have a relationship with God, I invite you today to take a minute in your busy life and ask Jesus into your life. After all, He already paid the price for your sins… He died so you may live. I pray the Lord blesses and keeps you.

None of us are promised another day. There is no better time than the present to start or maybe renew your relationship with God. Take a moment now and dedicate yourself to Christ Our Savior.

Please… if you don’t know Christ or have fallen away, please pray… Tell God you believe His Son Jesus paid for your sins and rose again. Tell God you are sorry for your sins and want to start Living for Him. He will forgive your sins and mistakes and give you Everlasting Life with Him… and place His Spirit deep within your heart. In 1 John 1:9 says, “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”

I pray that God will truly Help and Bless you.
