As we celebrate the 4th of July in a few days, I would like to talk a little about this country we call America. Over the last 40 years or so, there has been a rift or separation in our beloved country. The last few years, the division of this country, has become wide and very pronounced. The values that this country was founded on has been attacked, watered down, and destroyed.
The one time the most powerful country in the world, USA, now has fallen to the second most powerful power. China now has the most powerful military force, the strongest currency, superior work force, and are also superior in educating their people. Our leader here in America, think the most important things are money, power and control. Our political leaders are fighting for it… No matter what the cost. They are working for themselves and not for this country.
Our country has been primarily a two-party system, but this is changing. What I mean is, one party are the wealthy and the other is the poor. The burden put on the middle class to support the greed of the wealthy and the burden of taking care of the poor, has been so bad it’s eliminating the middle class. Now the motto is, “Tax the middle class and to give it to all others.” Then to lie about it say it coming from the wealthy.
The United States of America is in trouble! We are being attacked daily. America’s values are being destroyed! Those in power are taking away our rights and freedoms and trying to install their agenda in our Lives.
I’m afraid, unless things change, we will see the fall of our nation. Today’s attacks come from the inside of our country. We have leaders in office that do Not believe in the constitution or what it stands for. They have openly stated their hatred for America.
Our enemies attack us by trying to divide us. Unfortunately, they have been pretty successful. The issues that separate our country include Gun policies, open boarders, abortions, and race just to name a few. The Bible warns about this in Matthew 12:25 “Any kingdom divided against itself is laid waste; and any city or house divided against itself will not stand.”
Today, most colleges teach that some form of socialism is the best form of government. It’s hard to believe people are falling for their lies and promises. The ideals of socialized government may sound good… But it doesn’t Work. Research for yourself what has happened to Venezuela since they voted to have a socialized government. They went from one of the most prosperous nations in the world to a very poor nation in less than 10 years. In this country you find food shortages, contaminated water, a high population of homeless, and loss of individualism and freedoms.
After that, look at China… their socialized communist government has taken away all rights and freedoms of their citizens. Their government tells them how and where to live, work, what to read, and how many children they are allowed to have. If you protest or speak against the government or leadership, they arrest and send you to prison. Don’t forget countries like Russia and N. Korea.
So, what’s the answer? This is what God says.
First – Love. We can pass thousands of laws to stop racism, gun violence, abortions etc. We know that this does not work! Do you really think the person who is going to commit a mass murder is going to say, wait a minute, this is against the law, and I’m not going to do it? Can laws change a person’s actions or beliefs? Be real, I don’t think so. The Bible has the answer, In Mark 12:31 says, “Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.” It says to LOVE. We all have heard of the Golden Rule, to treat others as you want to be treated. If we want real and permanent change this is the first step.
Second – Put God back in this country. This country was founded on religious freedom and our Constitution and laws are based on God’s Word. It’s time we put God back in our government, our schools, and most importantly our homes! I saw this on a church sign the other day… How true it is.
Our America was born on July 4th 1776… Today, America needs to be born again…
Third – Vote – It’s time for the silent majority to speak up! Within a few months or so, we will elect many representatives and congressional seats for both state and federal governments. If you are unhappy about the way this country is heading, please vote. May I ask one favor from you? Please do your research then pray to God to guide you on your vote. Then vote for the candidates that best represent your wants and needs.
Also vote with your dollars… As Christians we did to vote against the sinful lifestyles and those business that support it. If a store has a Pride display, don’t shop there. If a business support abortion right, do business with one that doesn’t. Believe me, all business wants to make money and they will take notice of their losses.
To make this country better, it starts with us loving God and each other. God showed us the ultimate way to love. John 3:16 says, “For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in him shall not perish but have everlasting life.” God gave His Son to die for our mistakes and give us eternal life with Him.
To have this love you need to know God. So, here’s my question, how’s your relationship with God? There is no better time than the present to get or renew your relationship with God. Just take a moment right now and dedicate yourself to Christ Our Savior. Now’s the Time to ask the Lord to come into your life, there might not be a tomorrow.
Please… if you don’t know Christ or have fallen away, it’s time to make it right. It’s time to pray. Tell God you believe His Son Jesus paid for your sins and rose again. Tell God you are sorry and want to start living for Him. He will forgive your sins and mistakes and give you Everlasting Life with Him… and place His Spirit deep within your heart. 1 John 1:9 says, “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”
Sorry for the rant, but I have always loved this country. In closing I want to wish everyone a Great 4th of July. Please join me in praying for our country, that we will turn back to God and the fundamentals that made this country Great!
