Is God a part of your life?

During a recent conversation, a gentleman told me that God was a part of his life.  As we parted ways, I started thinking about our conversation and what he meant by saying “God is a part of his life.”

Just what did he mean?  I think God is a part of our life, whether we are a believer or not.  After all God causes the sun to rise, the birds to sing, and if you think about it… God created everything, including mankind, so He is a Part of everything.

I don’t think that’s what he meant.  I think he was talking about interacting or having a relationship with God.  Then I started to think about, how much is that part of his life is Gods part. Is it 10, 50 or 90 per cent? Or maybe he was talking about the time he spends with God.  The more I thought about the statement “God is a part of my life” the more questions I had.

It was time to look for what the Bible says about it.  In Deuteronomy 6:5 says, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength.”  The word of God is telling us to love the Lord with everything we have. It says ALL.  Jesus repeats this same statement in Matthew 22:37.

In conclusion, instead of using the statement “God is a part of my life”, I think I’m now going to say, “God is my life”. I don’t want God in my life part time, I want God to help, lead and guide me in all things I do, 100% of the time.

This brings me to this question… Is God a part of your life or is God your life?

In closing, how is your relationship with Christ? Is Satan deceiving you by telling you that you only have to give a part of your life to God. Remember these verse – Matthew 6:21-23, “Not everyone who says to Me, Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness! It is not what you do that will get you into Heaven… It is who you know! Do you know the Lord?

This may be your last day on earth so now is the time to get right with God.  Maybe you have fallen away need to renew your relationship with God and get the peace you once had. Please take the time now and pray…tomorrow maybe too late.

Tell God you believe His Son Jesus paid for your sins and arose from the grave. Tell God you are sorry and want to start Living for Him. He will forgive your sins and mistakes and give you Everlasting Life with Him… and place His Spirit deep within your heart. In 1 John 1:9 says, “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” and in Romans 10:9 tells us, ”that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved;“
