Are you Comfortable???

Magnificent Promises

I think, if we were honest with ourselves, we would like to be comfortable in all the things that happens in our life. Having no controversy in our life would be great.  But guess what…. It’s not going to happen in this world!

Today I would like to speak a little on what I call the Comfortable Christian.  What do I mean when I say a Comfortable Christian?  Let’s take a look.

We probably know a few.  This person seems to have no cares in the world.  The Comfortable Christian goes to church, gives offering or maybe even teaches a Sunday School class. They have all the outward signs of being a follower of Christ.

We all have heard the phase “Looks can be deceiving”  or “Actions speak louder than words.” At home they give thanks to God at meals and occasionally may read the Bible.  But they will then watch a vulgar TV show, let a curse word slip out and then yell at their children in an ungodly manner.  Then at Work they blend in with all the co-workers in action and deed.

They put on a show to make us think they are devoted Christians.  Jesus Said in Matthew 7:16-17, “You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles?  Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit.”

You will know them by the fruit they bear.  What are fruits which a Christian can bear?  In Galatians 5:22-23 tells us, “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.” If you are a Christian, then people should be able to look for—and find—fruit in your life. Why? Because a disciple of Jesus Christ will produce spiritual fruit.

My Friend, Let me ask you if there is spiritual fruit in your life? In John 15:8 says, “Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.” Again I ask if your life is bearing fruit?

If you are an Christian that hasn’t bore fruit… there is no better time to get right with the Lord.  Remember what Jesus said in Matthew 7:21-23 “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.  Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’ It’s not enough to do the outward things, But it’s the heart that makes the difference.

In Jeremiah 17:10 tells us “I, the Lord, search the heart, I test the mind, Even to give every man according to his ways, According to the fruit of his doings.”  Please if you don’t know Christ or have fallen away, It’s time to make it right. It’s time to pray. Tell God you believe His Son Jesus paid for your sins and rose again. Tell God you are sorry and want to start Living for Him. He will forgive your sins and mistakes and give you Everlasting Life with Him… and place His Spirit deep within your heart. 1 John 1:9 says, “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” Renewal and Salvation is only a prayer away. It’s free, It’s easy and you don’t even need a credit card. Just ask God to forgive and to come into your life.

I pray that God will truly Help and Bless you. If you would like for me to pray with you, please email at Bob.L@magnificentPromises.com. May God Bless and Keep!
