What will Heaven be Like?

Have you ever thought about what Heaven is going to be like?  In Revelation chapter 21 gives us a glimpse of what Heaven will look like. The beauty of the world is nothing compared to the beauty of Heaven… It’s really hard to imagine gates made of pearl, walls of jasper and streets of pure gold. But the best thing we will find in Heaven is God. We will be with God forever. I came across this eye-opening poem about Heaven a few weeks ago and would like to share it with you.

Best poem in the World…
Unknown author

I was shocked, confused bewildered
as I entered Heaven’s door,
Not by the beauty of it all,
Nor the lights or its décor,

But it was the folks in Heaven
who made me sputter and gasp–
The thieves, the liars, the sinners,
The alcoholics and the trash.

There stood the kid from seventh grade
Who swiped my lunch money twice.
Next to him was my old neighbor
Who never said anything nice

Bob, who I thought
Was rotting in hell.
Was sitting pretty on cloud nine,
Looking incredibly well.

I nudged Jesus, What’s the deal?
I would love to hear your take.
How’d all these sinners get up here?
God must’ve made a mistake.

‘And why is everyone so quiet,
So somber – give me a clue.
‘Hush, child,’ he said, ‘They’re all in shock.
No one thought they’d be seeing you.’

Matthew 7:1 Judge not, that ye be not judged.

Every Saint has a PAST…
Every sinner has a future….

Life without God is like an unsharpened pencil…
It has NO point!

The poem gives us some food for thought. What are we projecting in our life? What does others see in and think about our life? Do they see God… or do they see the World? Will others expect to see you in Heaven?

Remember… Just going to church doesn’t make you a Christian any more than standing in your garage makes you a car mechanic.

Final question… Are you going to be surprised when you get to heaven? Or maybe you are going to be the surprise. We need to start living and acting like Christians. We need to make God the most important thing in our life. The only way that is going to happen, is with a personal relationship with God.

So how is your relationship? Maybe you have never had a relationship with God or maybe it’s not as good as it should be. Please take the time right now to get a personal relationship with Him. Tomorrow may be too late.

Please… if you don’t know Christ or have fallen away, please pray… Tell God you believe His Son Jesus paid for your sins on the cross and then raised Him from the dead. Tell God you are sorry and want to start Living for Him. He will forgive your sins and mistakes and give you Everlasting Life with Him… and place His Spirit deep within your heart. In 1 John 1:9 says, “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” and in Romans 10:9 tells us. ”that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved;
