Your Vote…

As we enter the year 2024, a very important Presidential Election is coming on Nov. 5th, of this year.  It’s very important for us Christians to vote. This country is very much in conflict and the beliefs that this country was founded on have been shaken. We, as Christians need to voice our opinion and not be part of the silent majority.  There’s a lot of confusion on who or what to vote for.  What party platforms that supports Christian values. So today I would like to take a look at some of the parties’ platforms and not the individuals who are running. To be nominated for an office, you agree with your party’s platform and support it.

Where do the Democrats and Republicans stand on issues such as abortion, freedom of Speech, gay rights, the Second Amendment (right to own arms), and immigration just to name a few.   In a short overview, The Democratic party believes in big government. The Federal government should have control over health programs, schools, guns, welfare and other major programs of the government.  The Republican Party believes in a smaller federal government and more local control of most government programs. In the chart below I will compare some of the major party platforms differences.

Democrats support government-funded abortions – even to the extent of a post born baby being aborted. Believes the mothers should have the right to make decisions about her body and the fetus. Taxpayer funded abortion.	Abortion Click Here for more information	Republicans do not support abortion, Except for life threatening situation of the mother. Believes an unborn child is a human being. Believes the child has a right to live.
Supports the right to marry or join any couple no matter what their sexual orientation. Support of taxpayers funded gender transitions.	LGBT/Gay rights Click Here for more information	Believes marriage should be between one man and one woman. Does not support the LGBT right to marriage.
Believes guns and other weapons should be regulated and/or completely band by the government. Restrict guns to those only approved by the government.	Second Amendment The right to bear arms	Supports the Second Amendment right to bear arms. Supports the rights of citizens to own guns and other weapons.
Supports immigration and open borders. Believes that illegal aliens should not be deported. Also believes government programs should support them with housing, food stamps, phones, and more	Immigration/ Illegal Alien	Believes in protecting our country with closed borders. Believes immigration should be done lawfully.  That illegal aliens in United States should be deported.
Believes that any person speaking Publicly against a minority group is considered a hate crime and could be arrested. As stated in the recent Human Rights Amendment. For example, a church Pastor, saying Gay marriage is wrong could be arrested.	Freedom of Speech	Supports Freedom of Speech. Did not support the recent Human rights Amendment that was later defeated.
Believes in making it easier to vote. Proper identification does not have to include a photo ID to vote. also believes those not a resident should have the right to vote.	Voting rights	Believes that each voter should properly identify themselves with a photo ID and be a US citizen. Also to protect against voter fraud.

I have just highlighted some of the differences between the Democratic party and the Republican Party. For more information go to Frcaction.org. Above are just 6 issues of the many, that we need to understand. I encourage you to do the research on who you’re voting for and the party that you’re voting for. This is probably the most important election since the United States was formed over 200 years ago. What happens in this presidential election could change this country forever.

Christians, it’s time to stand up for your believes!  I urge you to pray and research on who to vote for. Remember it’s your duty to vote.  My friend… don’t let the Devil win this election. Think about having to explain to God about why I didn’t vote.  Even if I voted wrong, I would not have to explain why I didn’t try to vote.   Please Vote the way God leads your heart.  Also encourage others to vote… it’s time that the silent majority of Christians stand up and be counted.  May God Bless and keep you.
