The Final Call…

The world had grown strangely comfortable with chaos. Wars filled the headlines. Earthquakes shook cities without warning. Disease and famine spread across nations. People mocked the idea that these were signs of God, yet the Bible had warned long ago: “And ye shall hear of wars and rumors of wars… nation shall rise against nation… and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places” (Matthew 24:6-7). Still, most carried on as though nothing eternal mattered.

In one small town lived four people whose lives would soon be changed forever. There was John, a faithful believer who loved the Lord and studied Scripture daily. There was Sarah, his wife, who believed in Christ but had grown lukewarm, distracted by life’s comforts. There was Mike, their neighbor, a kind man who always said, “Maybe someday I’ll get serious about God.” Then there was Emily, Mike’s teenage daughter, who secretly read a Bible given to her by John.

The Days Before

One evening, John sat at the kitchen table reading aloud. “For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night” (1 Thessalonians 5:2). Sarah sighed. “You’ve said that for years, John. Life just keeps going.” John looked at her gently. “That’s what they said in Noah’s day too.”

Emily listened quietly from the doorway. Mike laughed nervously. “Well, if Jesus comes tonight, I hope He gives me a warning first.” John shook his head and quoted: “Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come” Matthew 24:42.

Outside, thunder rolled though the sky was clear. The Moment Everything Changed. At dawn the next morning, the world awoke to a sound unlike any ever heard. It was not thunder… It was not music… It was the trump of God. “For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:” (1 Thessalonians 4:16).

Graves burst open around the earth as believers long gone were raised in glory. Then suddenly: “Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air” (1 Thessalonians 4:17).

John vanished from his chair, his Bible falling open to the floor. Emily disappeared from the porch steps, her face filled with joy. Across the world millions were gone in an instant. Cars crashed without drivers. Airplanes lost pilots. Children vanished from bedrooms. Churches stood full of empty clothes and abandoned pews.

A jagged scream tore from Sarah’s throat as Mike collapsed, his knees hitting the earth with a hollow thud. The world around them felt suddenly, terrifyingly empty; the silence of those left behind was deafening.

Meanwhile, in a breath between heartbeats, John opened his eyes to a radiance that defied description. The weight of his old life—the gnawing pain, the suffocating fear, the sting of every tear—had simply vanished, replaced by a profound, shimmering peace. Before him stretched a sea of souls, a vast assembly of saints draped in robes of purest white, their voices rising in a roar of joyous praise. And there, at the center of it all, stood Jesus, his presence outshining the midday sun.

Beloved, now are we the sons of God… when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is” (1 John 3:2).

Emily stood nearby, laughing through tears of joy. John embraced her. “You believed.” She smiled. “I did.” They joined the worship of heaven: “Worthy is the Lamb that was slain” (Revelation 5:12). No more sorrow. No more death. No more night.

Those Left Behind

On earth, panic ruled the streets. News anchors blamed aliens, government experiments, mass hysteria—anything but the truth. Sarah searched the empty house and found John’s Bible still open. Her trembling eyes fell on the verse: “Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods… and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked” (Revelation 3:17).

She collapsed weeping. “I knew… I knew and did nothing.” Mike wandered outside as sirens screamed in every direction. “What have I done?” he cried. He remembered every invitation, every sermon ignored, every chance postponed. The world soon united under a powerful leader promising peace and order.

But Scripture had warned: “Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed” (2 Thessalonians 2:3).

The Antichrist rose quickly, offering solutions while demanding loyalty. Soon buying and selling required allegiance to his system. “That no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark” (Revelation 13:17).

Sarah and Mike now understood the cost of delay. A Second Chance in Tribulation. Though judgment had begun, mercy still called. Sarah clung to John’s Bible and cried out to Christ. Mike joined her. Together they read: “Whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved” (Romans 10:13).

They believed at last—but now faith would cost everything. Refusing the mark meant hunger, persecution, and likely death. Yet Sarah said, “Better to suffer now than be lost forever.” Mike nodded through tears. “I should have listened sooner.”

The neon glow of the city flickered through the cracks of their boarded-up apartment. Sarah and Mike sat in the heavy silence, the weight of the last few months pressing down on them. Outside, the world had transformed into a streamlined machine of commerce and compliance. Without the digital signature—the mark on the hand or forehead—the rhythmic hum of society had become a taunt.

“We can’t keep living like this, Mike,” Sarah whispered, her voice brittle. “The hunger, the hiding… look at us.”

Mike looked at his trembling hands. He had spent weeks reciting scriptures, warning her of the eternal cost. But the hunger was a physical scream, and the isolation felt like a living tomb. The radio played loops of the new leader’s speeches—promises of unity, bread, and a world finally free of the “old divisions.”

A strange, numbing peace began to settle over them. The warnings they once held dear started to feel like echoes from a dream they no longer understood. The logic of the world felt clearer, more rational than the ancient words of the Bible they had clung to.

“It’s not as bad as they said,” Mike murmured, his eyes glazing over with a sudden, eerie certainty. “Maybe we were wrong. Maybe this is the only way to save ourselves.”

They walked together toward the neighborhood scanning center. The line moved quickly, filled with people who looked relieved, even joyful. When they reached the front, there was no hesitation. One by one, they stepped forward, offering themselves to the system. As the mark was applied, a wave of artificial euphoria swept away the last remnants of their resistance.

They didn’t feel like they had lost their souls; they felt like they had finally found the truth. They were blind to the gravity of their choice, for as the scripture says: “And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie (2 Thessalonians 2:11).

They walked back into the neon light, smiling at a world that was no longer their enemy, completely unaware of the darkness that had just claimed them.

The Glorious Return… Seven Years later the heavens opened once more. This time Christ did not come in the air for His people. He came with His people. “And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean” (Revelation 19:14).

John and Emily rode among the redeemed. Jesus spoke, and nations trembled. The kingdoms of man fell in a moment. Sarah and Mike, now remember the choices they had made. How they had a chance to be a part of the glorious return of the King and Savior.

The Warning… Jesus once said: “Two shall be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left” (Matthew 24:40).

That day is coming. Some will rise in joy. Some will remain in terror. Today the invitation still stands. “Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation” (2 Corinthians 6:2).

Do not wait for tomorrow. For when the trumpet sounds, tomorrow will be too late. Hell… or Heaven? Let today be the day we choose where we will spend eternity. Please choose before it is too late.

There’s no better time than now to start living as if it were your last day on earth. All you need is to take a moment to pray… Tell God you believe His Son, Jesus, paid for your sins and rose from the grave. Let Him know you’re sorry and want to live for Him. He will forgive your sins and mistakes, give you everlasting life with Him, and place His Spirit deep within your heart. 1 John 1:9 says, “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” and Romans 10:9 tells us, ”that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved;

May God Bless you.
